We are asking for $185 participation fee for the first child and $99/child after.

haven makers
Haven Makers is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that creates dream-bedroom makeovers for children with cancer. Currently serving kids ages 3–17 in Cuyahoga and Lorain counties, our volunteers fully transform a child’s personal space: fresh paint, new furniture, bedding, accessories—and sometimes upgraded flooring or closet systems. The child takes an active role in the design, often selecting a theme, favorite colors, and special features such as a cozy reading chair or a dedicated homework desk to fill the space they feel was missing.
A new, clean and organized room offers more than aesthetics—it can create a meaningful, positive boost to a child’s mood and sense of control during an otherwise unpredictable time. At Haven Makers, we believe that this sense of control, comfort and renewal plays a meaningful role in the healing journey. When a child enters a space that reflects their personality, invites calm, and supports rest and creativity, it helps them feel seen, safe, and empowered.

We’ll kick things off with a quick phone chat. If it feels like a great match and you’re excited to have your child featured in the gallery, we’ll set up an in-person consultation. This is my chance to get to meet you and your family, so we can thoughtfully plan your session and dream up artwork that truly captures your kiddo's unique personality.
The session
Each Simply Me session is thoughtfully crafted around your child’s one-of-a-kind personality. We’ll also take a few classic family portraits, because those sweet moments together deserve to be celebrated too! My goal is for your family to feel relaxed and have a genuinely fun experience—just being yourselves, no stiff posing required. And if you’re a little nervous about how it’ll all go, that’s completely normal. With my years of experience (and a knack for working with kids!), I’ll guide everyone along the way so you can feel comfortable and confident, knowing you’ll walk away with portraits you truly love.

Here comes the best part—the image reveal! Together, we’ll look through the very best photos from your session. I’ll be right there to guide you through choosing your favorites and help you imagine how they can become beautiful artwork for your home. My goal is to make sure you select something truly meaningful—pieces your family will cherish for generations.
