Thinking about scheduling a branding photo session for you and your business but are afraid to be in front of the camera?? I get it! I see you! With a little preparation, branding sessions can be a blast! They leave you feeling like a rock star and eager to show the world who you are and what you provide. Below, I broke down in a few simple ways for you to feel prepared to step in front of the camera without feeling vulnerable. Remember, there is only one YOU in this world so let them see YOU!

Determine Your Goals for the Session

This might seem simple yet so complicated. So let's break it down. Are you scheduling a branding photo session to have a library of well curated images for social sharing marketing? Are you revamping your website with fresh images? Are you getting ready for wedding season, launching a program or product line, or something that is important to your industry? Review those questions and see what answers come from it. It's important to have spell out your goals so when we create your session guide we are capturing specific photos for your marketing.

Know Your Must-Have List

After identifying your goals, let's make a must-have list. This can include products, poses, etc. Pinterest is a great place to find inspiration! I always recommend creating a board and sharing it with me so we can plan according to your style and expectations.

Look Your BEST

This one might be my favorite because it is often overlooked. I want you to embrace yourself in the now! Spoil yourself by getting your hair done, nails done, heck schedule a massage! We want you looking relaxed, not stressed! I will spoil you with hair and makeup pre-session. Want to continue our magical relationship?? I will guide you with your clothing, colors and even hair!

Incorporate Your Brand Colors

Most businesses have a specific set of colors that are incorporated into their brands. We love to see you incorporate those colors in your session with accessories, props, clothing, flowers, cups, etc.

Trust Your Photographer

This can often be the hardest part. If you are uncomfortable being the spotlight of the photo session, this can be really hard to trust your photographer to work their magic. When you choose a photographer, remember that they should be a professional but they are also human. Find a way to connect with them because if they can make you laugh, then they can make magic happen. Still feeling insecure? Ask to see the back of the camera! Don't wait to see the images when they are edited. Always make sure you and your photographer are on the same page before, during and after your session.
